Department of History
Since the inauguration of the College in 1965 the Department of History started functioning. B A Degree Course in History with Political Science and Economics as Subsidiaries was started in 1980. The sanctioned strength of the batch is 40. The Head of the Department was Prof Joseph Sebastian M.A . The other faculty members were Prof N.M George M.A , Prof C.A Joseph M.A, Prof Elizabeth Job M.A and Prof P.J Varkey M.A. B Ed. Our first batch passed out in 1983. In 1998 Fr Cherian Thalakkulam took charge as Principal of our college and as a member of the faculty. He was selected as a NAAC Peer Team member in 2000.

Future Plans
The Department is expecting Government sanction for the proposed Post Graduate Course in History and Certificate Courses in Human Rights and Rural Development which will help our students to better their career opportunities.
